PASSIONATE ABOUT progress. passionate about ADAIR COUNTY.
ALWAYS.
As your County Judge-Executive for the past 3 years, I have shown up every day with one goal in mind: to serve the people of Adair County with honesty, dedication, and care. Leadership isn’t always easy—but it should always be rooted in doing what’s right for our community…for its safety, for its future, for its employees. As we look ahead, I will remain focused on moving the county forward with experience, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people who call it home.

I am not one to do a lot of social media self-promotion. But the gallery below is just a handful of pictures that I have from the years as your CJE, proving to you that I am a hands-on Judge-Executive, who makes the trips to represent Adair County in Frankfort and various other local meetings, who isn’t afraid to speak to our state and federal leadership about Adair County and our needs, and who will roll up his sleeves to solve problems - no matter how big or small, and who goes to work every day looking for ways to improve our County in any way possible.
Governor Beshear and I speak about issues in Adair County including the need for a vocational school and the jail's impact on our budget and cash flow.
Good friends with Congressman Comer. He, too, is ready to help Adair County whenever he can.
On the steps of the old Capital building in Frankfort - once again supporting the economic development of Adair County.
Being a constant support for the EDA during visits like this from a South Korean company signifies to the companies that the County is serious about supporting them and their business.
I was honored to have played a part in getting Phillips Tank & Structure to Adair County. Looking forward to their future expansion!
Proudly saying that we are doing business "LOCAL" now with Martin's Peterbilt right here in Adair County.
So glad to have helped bring Martin's Peterbilt to our community! Such an asset!
I had this "COMMON SENSE - MAKES SENSE" sign made in 2022. The "common sense" phrase was a part of my 2022 campaign and has always been a major part of my personal mindset as CJE, even if the court refused to discuss it. Every time a magistrate came in to the office, I wanted them to be reminded that the job we all do should be filtered through a common sense decision making processes - not a personal or political motivation.
Waylon at LCADD. He is ready to help us with our Park whenever we are ready.
I have always proudly supported our law enforcement officers. I stood up for them to to Court but the magistrates refused to support them until they were forced to because of resignations and near-misses.
Magistrate Hadley expressed his interest about our transfer station.
Always out and about talking to contractors and those who may be able to help Adair County in the future.
Hometown hero, Hilda Legg, is a true asset to Adair County. Happy to see her at the Annual Chamber Day Dinner!
I coordinated demonstrations so that our fiscal court could see the potential assets for our county.
Judge Marcum from Russell County. Always enjoy speaking with our neighboring counties' local leaders.
Good luck Indians!
Tire disposal. Deputy Judge Bridget Compton is also our Solid Waste Coordinator. She does an excellent job at making sure these opportunities are available for Adair County!
Martin's Peterbilt is now a member of our community and our economy! Thankful to Terry for his support!
I'm a hands-on Judge. If there's a problem, I don't just delegate; I roll my sleeves up and help.
I will not just sit at a desk...I will help solve the real problems personally.
I always enjoy visiting the Jim Blair Senior Citizens Center. Great people!
My first State of the County address.
Participating in the education of our youth is something that is near and dear to my heart. We need a vocational school on site!
Mr. Thompson is a huge asset to our school district and I enjoy supporting his efforts to give our high school students practical education in addition to the academics!
Visiting and gleaning knowledge from nearby counties' local officials.
I purchased a much needed TV for our Economic Development Authority / Tourism / Chamber of Commerce leadership. Many presentations have been given on behalf of the promotion of Adair County in the past 3 years.
Never miss a meeting at the Lake Cumberland Area Development District. Most all grants originate here.
I love trips to Frankfort to promote the economic development of Adair County. Our EDA does a fantastic job.
Treats on the Town 2023 - family support has made all the difference.
I speak with Senator Max Wise about the betterment of Adair County every chance I get!
While I wish to work with the City in a way that financially benefits our residents in the future, I always take the opportunity to make a joint proclamation when invited.
Judge Stephens stopped in to offer his support and availability. Thankful for his friendship and support as he watches my efforts to steer this county in the direction of progress.
Governor Beshear has helped Adair County. No matter his party, we can't just disregard the nearly $10M he hand-delivered to us. I am grateful!
New equipment helps increase efficiency and safety at the transfer station, and so does Deputy Compton's efforts to find the means to do so!
I am always honored to support our Veteran population in any way I can.
I have a veteran of my own! Proud when any person signs up to serve our country.
I pushed for a Tourism director my first month in office. To be able to receive the taxes taken when people spend the night in one of our hotels, we must have a director. Paige has done an excellent job organizing community-unifying events and promoting Adair County like never before.
One of my best appointments during my term. Tim Baker
Linda Waggener and I got a chance to catch up a little at the Chamber Day Dinner.
Another example of my leadership out in the community - not behind a desk.
Swearing in Magistrate Davenport as he takes the seat for District 2. I have known Todd and his family since he was a young child. I volunteered to help build the life center named after his father, Rev Bill Davenport.
I have asked for a raise for Tammy for at least 2 years. I wrote about it in my Judge's Corner. Glad the court finally gave it to her - even though they didn't tell me they were going to.
Another great proclamation!
I vowed to help (then Sheriff Brockman) get more officers to cover our county demands early in my term. I did just that.
Working with Class D and providing their lunch is something I get a chance to do every so often. I enjoy getting a chance to listen to these inmates and hopefully say something encouraging that helps them.
I love supporting our students - they are our future! This was a school event at the Extension Office. I supported and bought several things from these little entrepreneurs!
Attending conferences like this one helps me keep up with opportunities that are available to Adair County. Of course, the Court must support those opportunities for us to be able to take advantage of them.
Never used a cell phone so much in my life until I became CJE!
Another chance to speak with Senator Wise about Adair County and our needs.
Got on the bus with the ACHS Boys' basketball team to encourage them at the state tournament. Our youth is the future!
Blessed to provide food and serve this team as they traveled to the state championship.
Avid Supporter of Adair County Athletics. Even though the majority of my magistrates didn't support me letting county employees off to support this event, to me...it was the RIGHT thing to do. It's not every year that we get to do this. If the finances weren't in such bad shape, we would have the financial "room" to support community events like this without negativity, because we would have a "nest egg"...not a huge one, but enough.
Me and my grandsons, Jagger and Jasper Kemp, at the state tournament.
Loved seeing so much of Adair County in Rupp. What a great show of support for our Indians!
Love these ladies! They were at Rupp supporting our community, too!
No doubt Mr. Feese and I were discussing recycling. I was glad to get this service re-opened to our community during my term.
Sarge Pollock may not be our representative anymore, but I value his insight and leadership for our region!
Superintendent Faulkner and I both agree we need a vocational school. He is pushing hard from the school side and I am pushing just as hard from the local government side.
Loved seeing so many from Adair County - no matter the party affiliation, no matter the opinions of the streamed Fiscal Court meetings on Facebook - everyone together supporting our youth!
Another office visit by Congressman Comer. I am thankful for his friendship and support. He and I share a lot of the same views that I hear him speak about on the news.
With my son, Easton, and granddaughter Willa Jean, at Rupp. Willa is one of 19 grandchildren!
Love signing proclamations to support our local efforts to impact Adair Countians.
I have always supported the 911 Center, advocating for competitive pay and the need for more dispatchers.
Another proclamation signing to emphasize efforts and highlight groups of people.
Finally got chip and seal put down on Austin Trace to serve the families and their children, making school bus traffic safer and just a significant improvement to the road. Thanks to Magistrate Hadley from District 7 who took care of this road in District 6. Personal opinions about the CJE should never impact safety of Adair Countians. This was the RIGHT thing to do - no matter political or personal differences.
I can count on one hand how many EDA meetings I have missed. In this meeting, we honored Mark Dykes for 10 years of EDA Board service.
Secretary Jeff Noel at the Cabinet for Economic Development encourages me every time I see him. He says he's waiting to send us money as soon as our application hits his desk.
